Yes, this is by no means useful at the moment, but it's stimulus
I'm sure someone can snazz this up, but the basic links go like this (loaction names also need correcting):

Terra - Alpha Centauri - Sirius

 Proxima centauri   -   Al-something-or-rather

All sectors contain nebula and hydrogen gas, Al-something-or-rather is currently the only sector with ores in.
Terra has two planets (Earth and Venus) and contains space eels (top right), 1 space eel mother (bottom left), a bunch of Rogue Pirates (top left) and other nasties at the middle-bottom (an interstellar wasp and vorpal fang I think?)
Proxima centauri is a local dump home to a single space eel mother. There are no planets.
Alpha centauri has two planets (cunningly labelled Centauri I and II) of which Centauri I is headquarters to the Oracle faction. It has space eels (bottom right), a master pirate hovering beneath II and usually has the space monkey hovering around on the right.
Sirius is a bit of a dead end with lots of rogue pirates to the left and the only Shambling Morass in the top right somewhere.
Al-something-or-rather is a bit of a mystery to me because I've only poked my head in there :D
